Cocook is an online platform that lets users discover places to cook, enjoy provided ingredients, and pursue a nutritionally balanced lifestyle—all in one platform.

Cocook is a prototype of a course final project for solving the diet issue of young professionals in Boston.
The app shared-kitchen feature aims to provide app users with:
- Create a learning space that allows people to learn how to cook nutritional-balanced meal.
- Encourage young adults to pursue a nutritionally balanced lifestyle.
- Promote in-person emotional communication between young people during their cooking time with their close ones.

Problem Definition "What are the challenges Young Adults in Boston face when pursuing a nutritionally balanced lifestyle?"
Limited Time for Meal Prep
Busy work and study schedules leave little time for cooking, often leading to reliance on fast food or processed meals that lack nutrition.
Inadequate Kitchen Facilities
Shared or small apartment kitchens often lack the necessary space or equipment, discouraging young adults from cooking balanced meals.
Lack of Nutrition Knowledge
Limited understanding of nutrition and healthy meal planning makes it challenging to create balanced and nourishing meals.
Primary Research Understand user scenarios
In order to figure out how best to serve young adults seeking kitchen space, we conducted surveys and user interviews with 44 individuals in Boston. The findings helped us come up with the value proposition of facilitating easy access to well-equipped kitchens for friends to cook and dine together.

User Storyboard Easy to rent, DIY kitchen rooms for friends
Scenario Before:
Adam’s fridge broke, and his friend is coming and plan to cook together. He originally does not know the Cocook app. Therefore, he just orders a fast pizza for everyone. Ended up not cooking and having junk food.
Scenario After:
However, in the After storyboard, Adam knows about the Cocook App, and he booked one kitchen and had a good and easy experience with his friends and family.
